KEIR Manufacturing Inc. has been in business since 1983. KEIR is a global supplier, serving 1400+ customers in 41 countries. Wire and cable are their largest market, producing technical ceramics, composite bunching/twinner bows, and air wipes. KEIR is also a top supplier of engineered ceramics for textiles, brick cores, sand blasting nozzles and furnace components as well as abrasive grinding and sharpening stones. SureShot and SplitShot Air Wipes
KEIR’s patented SureShot and SplitShot Air Wipes provide a far more effective drying method vs. other air wipe manufacturers, blower units, air nozzles, etc. The objective is to completely dry the product with minimum use of compressed air, saving reoccurring cost associated with scrap, rework and energy. The efficient designs are tailored to the product OD. Comprised of Delrim or CPVC housings (acid resistant), 99.8% Alumina ceramic inserts with stainless steel and polypropylene hardware, the air wipes are rugged and long lasting. Inserts can also be specifically engineered for rectangle, oval and unique product profiles.
Customized air wipe development and designs to meet challenging or unique applications in extrusion, plating, drawing and other processes are available. KEIR recently introduced new air wipe models with a down drain for excessive water control issues and a new hingelok to hold the air wipe open for operator ease of use during set-ups.
KEIR’s Composite Flyer Bows
KEIR’s composite flyer bows are triaxially braided using carbon fiber, fiberglass and Kevlar depending on design and/or customer requirements. Triaxially braided bow constructions have greater durability and longevity than those made of layered/laminated designs, allowing them to endure higher stress and minimized damage from wire strikes. The objective is high-quality wire surface, maximized machine output and reduced energy consumption. Aerodynamic design profiles with minimum weight and superior strength equate to increased operating speeds with less energy consumed. KEIR Manufacturing, Inc. provides the industry with standard drop-in bow replacements for major machine manufacturers as well as customized designs that include the Backbone Bow and customized roller bows and tube bows. A wide selection of bow guides in both ceramic and tungsten carbide are available.
